But just wondering. A few years ago, received a copy of "FORCED ENTRY" (1973)from a friend. Yep, it's somewhere beyond XXX (in that it was made in the 70's, and current porn is too weak to attempt the same), but it uses a storytelling-style and actors that only the best XXX 'SERIOUS' flicks ever tried. A porn movie has to be great if it elicits an emotional response more than a jack-off reflex.

The main character, a Viet-Nam vet gas-station attendant with often flash-backs, looked a hella lot like David Hess. I'll have to find the video again & check.

Never did a porn that I can think of. Did some dubbing when I lived in Europe, but that's as far as it went. So check it out and check me out! If it was the 70's, it was probably made in N.Y. and many of the actors went from one 'feature' to another without pause. I seem to remember the title, it may have been produced by Peter Locke, not sure. Do some research and get back to me. Luv to find out what's behind the wall!

Sorry for the confusion; but yea, Hess isn't the person in FORCED ENTRY, but the two actors seem to be a close match. The face is different, but the hair, bodybuild, and on-camera 'seedy' disposition seemed right outa Last House, roughly the same time-frame.

The actor from FORCED ENTRY was credited as "Tim Long". No editor was credited. Written & Directed (and also in a cameo sex-scene) by "Helmuth Richter". Produced by John Klugerman. And spot-on! It was definitely shot in NYC!

Also, ignore the '1973' release-date above. That's a guestimation. Definitely 70's, the cars look early-70's, not sure if the Vietnam War was even over before this flick was created because they didn't even have the "current War Malady" correct.

I guess what made me originally believe the actor was Hess, besides some superficial outward appearances (and years of not playing that video to refresh memory [img]redface.gif[/img] ), was the soundtrack. It wasn't any song or melody which interested me, it was the use of sound to emote only what the Nam vet was thinking in his mind. Vietnamese songs would play just walking down NYC streets, mixed with flashback imagry, and repeating audio loops of statements/idle chatter which stuck in his head as 'important'.

Was just reading a contributor copy of Robin Bougie's "Cinema Sewer" #13 rag, and was reading a phone-interview between Ed Brisson, (and who woulda thunk it) David Hess! Weird timing!

To my eternal discredit, I'm familiar with the movie you're discussing.

The actor playing the lead in FORCED ENTRY is none other than porn superstud Harry Reems (a.k.a. Herbie Streicher)-- an old NYC friend of Mr. Hess who appears under his real name in TO ALL A GOODNIGHT (the Santa Claus slasher flick directed by you-know-who).

Check the credits and you'll notice that the makeup "artist" who splashed all that fake blood around on the set of FORCED ENTRY is the same guy who did the honors on LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT.

Why do I know this shit?

Why to your "discredit"? I enjoy watching FORCED ENTRY on rare ocassions, and not for masturbatory purposes either. [img]biggrin.gif[/img] Granted, to fully flesh-out the story, it needed maybe another 2-weeks in scriptwriting, only slightly better set-decoration, and more than only one retractable-blood-spurting giant-handled knife. (Still, it had more bloodletting than the overly-hyped Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and found it more frightening too! Rather than a misfit family of weirdo's you'll never run-across in reality, this was a rapist/murderer who worked at the corner gas station & found victims by their credit-card receipts. MUCH more plausible, and creepy, that way.

Due to my age, missed many classic 70's movie releases, many no doubt lost forever to celluloid decay. So currently collect DVD's and DVD-R of the experimental "presumed/almost-lost" material from the 60's - 80's as possible.

But, but... THAT'S Harry Reems?!? I woulda never recognised him. (this will call for a new search through my movie-collection, "The Many Faces of Harry Reems") I'll have to do another search too, to find a few more dates-of-production... the characters in Last House and Forced Entry seemed VERY similar, and apparently since Hess & Reems were friends, would like to get an idea of who did the 'psycho' first & who did 'psycho' better. Interesting. Both Last House and Forced Entry were released in the same year, 1972. And with both Mr. Hess & Harry Reems old NYC friends, wonder if there were any cross-pollination discussions about playing a psycho between them... (31 years is a bit too long of a span to expect anyone to remember conversations though)

PS - Although this movie is listed as XXX because of the sexual content, I feel it fits much better into a "horror" category.
